Driving a car on your P-plates.
Probationary drivers under 21 have a two-stage four-year licence system.
This means you will have: a P1 licence (red P-plate) for the first 12 months.
a P2 licence (green P-plate) for the next three years
I think we should have this system

Can't agree - some lunatic drivers think it funny to target and intimidate P platers
You can use P Plates in he UK if you wish, so what would we gain. (That clip is Australia, I think).
Yes, that'll be 59kph, not mph.
Yes the clip is from Oz.
Our system for new drivers isn't just displaying red or green provisional driver plates it also covers the number of passengers allowed to be carried, the size of the motor in the car, the level of alcohol that can be consumed, the maximum speed they are allowed to drive, amongst other things.

How successful is it in reducing the death toll of young drivers?

Not sure myself.
And it's not just under twenty one, any new[i driver is covered by [i]most] of the provisional driver laws.
