I was under the impression that when something was on the internet it was there for all time. I found a site many months ago I can’t find anymore. It was about Torremolinos in Spain. It was all in Spanish The home page listed years from early 50s/60s up to late 80s. Selecting a year it covered what was going on then. Covering what hotels had opened, what stars visited ( Sean Connery, Elizabeth Taylor in th 60s etc) general gossip. The address was aqueltorremolinos.com but this page doesn’t load. Instead it takes me to something else. Thanks for any help.

Sites come and go. Not everyone can afford to pay regularly to keep their website.

All websites are hosted on Servers and rented out. If the rents not paid then the website access will be removed and eventually the server space will be reformatted and re-used. I notice the 'domain' name is being offered for sale as well.
Unfortunately, unless the information was archived elsewhere then all is lost.

Lots of websites disappear because their domain names expire. Domain names (such as theanswerbank.co.uk, diy.com, etc) aren't owned in perpetuity. In reality they're only 'rented' because the registrant needs to renew them every two years. Further, websites need to be hosted on servers, with the site owners having to pay for the service. (So if they don't keep up their subscription their sites get taken down).

The domain name 'aqueltorremolinos.com' is still a valid one though. It's currently 'owned' (i.e. 'rented') by a Romanian guy called Milen Radumilo but it seems that he's no longer interested in running the site (or possibly unable to afford the hosting fees), so he's put the domain name up for sale (for anyone who's got US$688 and who happens to want such an obscure address).

So it looks like the site has gone forever. If you want to ask Mr Radumilo what happened to it, try emailing him:
