I'm having a new gas central heating system installed tomorrow (radiators, boiler and water tank)
They are starting at 8 in the morning and was told that its an all day job. This might sound like a dumb question to some but will I be without water all day while they carry out the work?
I know next to nothing about plumbing....
Thanks.
You should have cold water, at least to the kitchen taps. Depending how your house is plumbed you may or may not have flushing toilets and cold water in the bathroom.
Thanks bhg. I live in a multi story flat. Apparently I have 3 different water supply points. (or so I was told by severn trent water when I applied for a water metre and was turned down)
Nailit, I recently had my whole house re-plumbed - new boiler, new radiators - the works. No problem at all. And do bear in mind that the plumbers won't leave the water off for long because they'll be wanting their cups of tea! ;o)
//Sounds more like you're getting ready for the apocalypse//
Got a bit of a 'thing' about having strangers in my home and got a bit of OCD as well re: any mess but I can deal with that. I *COULDNT* deal with not been able to flush my toilet though. That would drive me crackers....
