This is doing the rounds on Facebook, do you hear Laurel or Yanny? I hear.Laurel but apparently this could be because i'm old, the younger generation seem to hear yanny. Mini Boo's gone to school so I cant test this on her.

When I heard this on the BBC news at 6 last night, I thought I heard the word "now". Having just played it again, I heard "Laurel". But to me, if there is any trick about this, it's in the opening, where we are told what to listen for. If we were just told to listen, without reference to any words, what would people hear then?

I could only hear Yanny yesterday on the radio and a Facebook but I just played the link from the Independant on the other thread and could only really hear Laurel. I then played the other link and was back to hearing Yanny even when he supposedly tuned out the Yanny part. I don't know what that says about my hearing lol
