Another vote for Shark - but be careful - the prices vary enormously from place to place and week to week - for (essentially) identical models.

This is a reasonable price - but I’ve seen this (or similar) model for around £169 ... or £349 !!

I suspect a Hoover is not the best vacuum cleaner.

I have a Gtech, it's brilliant. especially for dog hairs in the carpet. It's lightweight, I can lift in on my little finger. I also have the handheld, ideal for furniture and the car. I wouldn't be without it.

Incidentally, I ordered it by phone at 1500, it was delivered at 1000 the following day, I was sent a tracker, so that I could see exactly where the van was and what time it should get to me. It was within five minutes of that time.

i have a shark also .very happy with it on wood floors and carpets,the lead is really long ,the only downside is it doesn't stand on it's own .
