Bread Maker

I have used my bread maker for years and most times the small paddle bit is always stuck in the loaf . I have to use a tweezers to pull it out which sometimes leaves a hole in the bread . Is there any tips I can use to stop this .i tried greasing it and that don't work .

It leaves a hole anyway because these machines don't retract the paddle before baking. At least the ones I've seen don't

Not a lot of help I'm afraid, I think it's inevitable.

Could take it out of the machine after the final mix and bung the loaf into the oven.

Thanks OG for reply .I think in all the years I have had it the paddle has come out on it's own about twice .shant take it out and put in oven as kmowing my luck it would fall,to pieces

OG is right, there will slways be a hole in the bread from the paddle, whether or not the paddle gets stuck in the loaf. I pull it out with my fingers once the bread is cool.

My paddle always remains in the loaf.

Usually mine comes out by itself if I turn the loaf upside down, still in the tin, onto a cooling rack for a few minutes.

That is why I stopped using my bread maker. Fed up with the paddle stuck in the loaf. It is sitting on top of the cupboard. You can have it free for the cost of postage.

^ Or a hole in the middle of the loaf ( which is only a 500 gram loaf anyway) You are lucky to get 4 slices out of it.

I use one of those small,slicing machines and get about 8 to 10 slices with about holes in 3 .i don't get so many cutting it with a knife .

^ They must be almost wafer thin slices.

Wendilla I get the same out of my loaf and they are the same thickness as shop bought bread

'Hole-Seal Flour' might be worth try. :-)

I don't think I could eat a whole seal.

Not at one sitting anyway.

Yes the slices are thinnish but I freeze them and mostly used for toast as they are nice and crispy how I like them
