Mortgages for Self-employed
2 Answers
I am self-employed and have annual accounts for my sole trader status. My accountant's job is to get the bottom line as low as possible so that I don't have to pay tax. But mortgage lenders look at the bottom line to assess my income! I know I can afford a higher mortgage than I currently have (I want to use capital from the equity on my home). Can anyone recommend a mortgage lender who will give me what I think I can afford rather than what my accounts show? Thanks
