Sensor Light

Has anyone got something like this but without the dusk til dawn night light part of it? Just a sensor light that comes on with a detachable torch. There are some on Amazon but a lot of people say that they tend to pack up after a short while. If so, where did you get it? My friends have two of them and they are brilliant but they came from Maplins which no longer exists.https://www.homebase.co.uk/night-light-night-guard_p469381

i have a very similar one to the picture but no nightlight - just movement and torch. We got it in homebase

Unsure what you mean. You only want light dawn to dusk ?
What wrong with a normal torch ?

Thanks for the link. No, I want a sensor light that lights up when you walk past it, not a dusk til dawn night light that stays on all the time. The detachable torch is an extra which can be used if there is a power cut.

Oh, motion sensor. But they only click in after dusk, too.
Can't help re detachability, sorry, but sensor lights are common.

I bought a very similar one from Homebase last year, and I think it's an excellent product.
On my light, I'm able to turn off the continuous night light, leaving just the sensor working, which gives off a bright light for about thirty seconds when activated. I find mine useful to light up the landing when going from the bedroom to the bathroom in the night.
It's also good to know that the light also comes on, and stays on, should there be a power cut. I also find it useful to use as a torch when going out into the garden at night, knowing it's always fully charged, giving a good beam every time.

wiltsman - it looks like the Homebase ones (made by Eiger) have a continuous dusk til dawn night light on them now. I was looking at them instore. Yes, they are good. My friends have one which lights up their upstairs corridor at night when you go up the stairs and when they get a power cut they can use the detachable torch.

I have something similar to this that lights my dark alley entrance. With your torch you need to supply 240v feed and batteries will eventually die.

237SJ - That's a pity now if the continuous dusk to dawn night light can't be switched off. It's a shame that this function is now discontinued.
