Growing ginger

Has anyone ever grown ginger from the tubers/roots you can buy in the supermarket.

If you have, would you like to share your methods and experiences with me.

I bought half a dozen roots yesterday with some good fat buds on and i will pot them very shallow and keep them in my heated conservatory.

Sorry about the squiggles...this really is unbelievable. No other forum or board i belong to (and there's many) has this and no one can do anything :-(

Hi Andy, itsd dead easy to grow and although I have never managed to get it to flower, I beileve that it will. The leaves give off a wonderful gingery smell. They are kind of orchidy in their preferences, light soil, good light but indirect, warmth and humidity
