painting with rollers

would you do all the cutting in first with a brush when painting walls then use the roller or would you cut in as and when required. Thanks in advance.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I do all the edges and cutting in parts with a brush first as sometimes it's difficult to get the roller right into to the edge,make a really neat job of it & ensure all the wall is covered adequately. Not sure what the professionals do but psychologically I find it better to get the fiddly bits done first so one can then concentrate on the big sweep.
