Removing Stains From Glass.

After recently having extensive work done to our property, splashes of cement render was left on the windows. This was easily removed, but it left marks on the glass which we can`t seem to remove. We`ve tried all the obvious things, but to no avail.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

It does take time though. It's quite a laborious job.
It is a little easier if the glass in new, as it's softer.
