'Magic' Writing Board?
15 Answers
When I was a kid, we had things which we could write on, then move a slide across and the writing disappeared. It was a less messy alternative to chalk boards or whiteboards. Does anybody know what these are called and where (if?) you can still get them?

We had some recently as cheap prizes in the amusement arcade I worked in. They were called Magic Slates and we got them from cheap swag wholesalers. Somewhere like Poundland might have them.

I used to make my own as a kid. (Find a piece of black card. Smear a thin layer of lard over it. Place greaseproof paper over the top and use a blunt pencil, or similar, to write or draw with. Lift paper to clear).
If you're looking for them online though, it might help to know that they're also called magnetic drawing boards. e.g.

These days you can get an electronic version too. (Search for 'LCD writing tablet'). e.g.
