I have got 50 peony corms - they look like mini octpuses
Simple question ( but daft ) ... which way is up ! Do I plant them legs
down or up ?

I watched that video. My corms are only about 1/2 - 1 inch in size. That video implied the leggy things point up but then I found another site that shows the legs pointing down.

Much as I dislike Thompson &Morgan (because they rejected, or more frequently simply ignored, countless job applications from me when I was unemployed), I reckon that they ought to know a thing or two about planting seeds, etc (because that's the business that they're in).

So I'm sticking with 'legs up' ;-)

Definitely legs up, that's where the stems/leaves are going to come from.
