Cleaning An Lcd Tv Screen

I had some marks on my screen and have tried to clean the whole screen with a almost dry cloth and some washing up liquid as the screen was greasy. This has made matters a whole lot worse and I would appreciate any help to get it clean of the grease streak that covers it! Thanks.

The manual that came with the TV will probably describe the best way of cleaning the screen.

Pc screen cleaner and a microfiber cloth seems to do a good job

I recommend the manual because they usually tell you what NOT to use.

This may sound obvious but was the screen cold when you cleaned it?

Glass cleaner tried and that started the problem, tv was stone cold, have now checked manual and there is nothing in it that helps.

Ive used baby wipes before ....dry immediately with a microfibre cloth

I've never used any cleaning liquids on a TV/computer screen...just a slightly damp (fine-textured) microfibre cloth and never caused any problems.
