Which Paint Stripper & Primer To Use?
2 Answers
In my newish house, the external doors are metal with PVC frames around the glass. The paint is coming off these frames as it looks like a proper primer was never used. Can somebody please advise which products are best for stripping off the remainder of the paint and for painting properly? (The paint on the metal is sound.)

If the paint covering the PVC is anything other than oil based gloss, you may be able to get it off by using those little spongy scouring pads dipped in warm water. Gently use the 'rough' side to loosen the paint, then clean the area with the 'smooth' side. Just an idea. I honestly have no idea what effect a paint stripper (such as Nitromors) would have on PVC.
Sorry for being a bit late with this, but ..........................

Zinsser do say that you should use their finishing paints, but as long as you follow their guidance and use their primer, you can finish with your preferred external paint.
