Poisonous Courgettes.

A few days ago I heard a report on the Radio about people being Poisoned by eating Courgettes.
It appears home grown Courgettes have been affected by high levels of cucurbitacins with folk getting very unpleasant illness; which has been known in rare cases to be fatal.
I don't know if this has been mentioned already in Answerbank, so I am giving a link to an article on the matter :-

What more can the company do...particularly as the cause is a "naturally occurring compound"? Probably the very compound that causes some of us to dislike their taste.
