Element On Grill
8 Answers
The element has gone on my moms old New World cooker model 444440532. It has an eye level grill. I have found a spare for this model online but is it a DIY job or best to call an electrician. I can turn my hand to most things, just wondering if this is a difficult job. Many thanks.

If you can, order the replacement and fit it; if not, call an expert. You could even order the replacement and then, if you can't do it, find someone who will fit the part. Since the grill is remote from the hob it should be safe enough to leave it between you removing it and getting the new one.
bhg481 thanks, I cannot just nip round as mum is about 105 miles away from me, so if it’s an easy job, it would be worth me driving to her place. However, I think as you suggest it would be a good idea to get the part then find an electrician. Would someone be willing to just fit it, or would they insist on buying the part themselves do you know.
