The space between mine and next doors semi - detached , is built up to a level about half way up the main walls of both houses .

Guy from next door accidentally put his foot through the roof of my side .

I'm not making a claim on my insurance policy .

However - do I need to report the incident to my house insurer ( as you would need to do with a car insurance incident ) .

I'm not sure where to locate my policy documents at the moment

No need I would say - only if you make a claim or if you are making an alteration (for when it comes to renew). As you describe it they wouldn't even want to know.

Has the neighbour made good? If so no need to report it to anyone. If not and you think you might have to claim for the repair, then report it asap.
