Devices With Sealed Batteries
20 Answers
Totally frustrating. I have a five-year-old device in perfect working order and still fit for purpose with the exception of the failing battery. Of course, it is a sealed unit but I have become quite adept at opening up various device to get at the battery.
Now the company no longer supplies the battery and there are no compatibles anywhere. They have offered me a discount off a new device.
Sorry, but I'll shop elsewhere.
Just a little rant

I cannot find a battery anywhere for this device and nor can the traders I have contacted. That is why I am so angry - a perfectly good device rendered useless for want of a cheap battery.
bednobs, it is an eReader that uses eInk and should not be a big battery drainer. When I first bought it, the device lasted for eight weeks or more between charges even though I use it every day for at least two hours. Now it lasts barely a day.

If you really don't want a Kindle (3 of the 4 Best Buys), then the Kobo Forma is the other Best Buy...but pricey.
Sunk..there are so many things that have rechargeable batteries that could be used for much longer if batteries were replaceable...vacuums, razors, toothbrushes, LED torches, pressure washers, LED reading lamps...the list is increasing all the time.
