Can you recommend one for a first time buyer as a hobby which will probably end up in the shed please?

You've not indicated your budget. Looking at specialist websites for the hobby seems to find that their idea of 'cheap' still means well in excess of three hundred quid. If I was in your position, I'd prefer to start out with something that's far cheaper but which still gets exceptionally good reviews on Amazon, such as this:
