how do i use my new Barclay debit card to check out mid shop,
do i go into sainsburys web site, change the card details to new one, then
alter the shopping trolley, then checkout, so thus taking the new
card details. does this make sense,

i hope it does make some sense as i have got some online shopping next week and want to have the new card in place.

I on-line shop with my Barclay card Em. If you are replacing an old BC with a new BC you don't actually need to change it as Barclays will automatically recognise you and use your new card. I know because it happened to me. If it would make you feel better to change it do what you say in your OP.
