I am not convinced that my duvet is fitted into my duvet in the right direction. Is there a right ad wrong way to put it on?
I normally put the duvet with the stitching on the duvet going from top to bottom. It usually ends up all all bunched up at the side. I tried it the other way and it's just as bad.
The problem doesn't arise for me, Steff, because I've only got single duvets. (They're rectangular, so it's obvious which way they go. It's only double duvets that are square).
Matters might be complicated further though by some manufacturers running the stitching 'across', while others might run it 'up and down'.
I'm not sure why I addressed my post above to Steff, when it should have been to Susan! It must be late!
I don't bother with a duvet at this time of year, Susan. (Yay! I got your name right this time!). I simply sleep under a nice, big bath sheet. I find it's just the right weight for keeping me warm without feeling oppressive.
I'll probably go to bed, and try to get to sleep, soon myself but there's a blackbird that is determined to keep me awake every morning!
i go with the stitching going from top to bottom, i have the devils owns job of changing the duvet though, as always manage to mess it up,
ending with me frustrated and annoyed.
I stopped using duvet covers years ago, now have a top sheet between me and duvet, much better/easier as there’s no wrestling the darn thing into a cover.
What size is your duvet. My double one is square and I never have this problem. If it is larger lay the duvet on the floor, then lay the cover on top. You should be able to see which way all the corners fit
