My problem is having to bend too low to get washing into washing machine - anybody think of a higher up idea.

I know the new dishwashers - the bottom automatically comes up for you to load your dishes. Not that I'm looking for new dishwasher.

this probably sounds like a stupid q but it's not under a worktop is it?
Question Author
it is bed

my tumbledryer (not used that often) but it is in my bedroom/cum utility room and it is great as I can sit and haul washing in and out.
if you want it to be in the same place, you will be unable to raise it.
train maxie to unload it :)
Get a small stool for the kitchen, that may help.
Question Author
I do have a little stool Mamy - but if I ever need a new washing machine - I will have to have it higher as my back and general all over pain is getting worse but am sure plumber nephew will think of something.

Or long wooden tongs?
Have you bothered to look at my link?
Question Author
I did bother to read your link Redhelen - but the machine is quite tight under my worktop.
If you have somewhere you can place a washer that's higher then Redhelen's idea is a good one.
Could you cut your worktop or is it granite?
Question Author
The drum is really too large and gness it wouldn't be worth it to buy long wooden tongs to pull out 15 pairs of knickers LOL
Question Author
it is granite and cost me a fortune - so I'll stick with the back pain
learn to hand-walk perhaps? Yes, a facetious answer but think of those on the Space Station!!!
A claw grabber any help? I know the machine stays lower rather then higher
Or have the machines fixed to the ceiling so they work upside down....at eye level.
Home help maybe
Question Author
home help last time I had an accident 2017 - I asked her to clean windows as she had half hour to spare, she washed them with a floor cloth. These were only windows that divide my living and dining room. There is no cleaner like myself
Would you consider a top loading washing machine? Obviously it wouldn't go under the counter.
