What’s It Actually Called
15 Answers
Need to buy a big bolt - it’s 110mm long, Allen key screw bit, smooth for the first 65/70mm (bit by the head) and grooved like a screw for the rest of the length. The bottom is flat (not pointy like an actual screw) and it’s brass/brass coloured. Anyone know the technical name for it so I can actually find one to buy?

Probably won’t bother putting it back on till next spring but if I don’t buy the bits now I’ll have no chance of remembering what I need.
The head of the bolt should have an A number stamped on it. A2, A3, etc. That gives the key size I believe, it may also have an M number this with be diameter and thread detail ie M10(10mm), M8(8mm). This may help.

These are probably the most used size for furniture use.
