It seems, after getting two kittens who are now 16 weeks old, and hyperactive lunatics!(I love them really lol), that a Xmas tree is not going to be happening this year. :( : ( we always always have a real tree, and it’s a big thing putting it up and decorating it, but these two are just going to wreck it within 5 mins, pulling every single bauble off it, or else they will be climbing up it!
So it seems I have got to go without a tree, and somehow put up some decorations that they can’t reach!! Any ideas, or anyone had to do this??
Btw Happy Saturday everyone xx

My friend made a Christmas tree collage using the cards she had received. It was in her hall, facing the front door and looked splendid. She's very arty though. I couldn't do that but you might be able to.
Posted just because of the cuteness ;-)
Have a tree, put some hooks in the walls and secure the tree with strong twine, but shatterproof baubles and be ready to take photos, kittens and Christmas trees are magic.
Decorate it with cucumbers?

Am loving the replies!! Looks like I might have to put my creative cap on!!
I saw a photo on facebook recently of a Christmas tree with three or four cat beds fixed to the branches at different heights with cats sleeping in them!

(Have got to try the cucumbers tho! )

Lanklee - would love to see that!
And instead of a Christmas tree get a pussy willow.

Lol very good!!
Whatever you do, no tinsel or lametta they can prove fatal. Kittens seem to find them irresistible.
Are there baubles that spray water when shaken? That might work...;)
Just shut the kittens in a different room from the tree.
That would spoil all the fun Diddly;0)
And yes kittens and Christmas trees are magic!
Our cat only ever jumped into the tree once, he spent a lot of time licking his pads afterwards and seemed to learn a lesson!
I remember our cat 12 years ago climbing the Xmas tree and bashing the baubles. We couldn't help but laugh! Such fun for the kitten...
