Why Are Uk Houses So Expensive?

So I’m a teacher earning around £30,000 a year, 23 years old living at home with parents. My grandma was saying that when she dies (which hopefully isn’t for a very long time), I could buy her house, which is a semi detached estimated between £190-200K. I’ve been told by a family friend who is in banking that on my salary I’d be leant roughly £90-100K for property, so I always tell my gran there’s no way I could afford it as I’d have to put a deposit down of about £90-100K just to be loaned the rest. Even a lot of terraced houses are out of my price range. I just find it frustrating that I’ve worked hard since being at school to go on to get a degree and a career to not even be able to afford my own home. I know there’s renting but I don’t want to be paying out for a house I’ll never own until I die. Thanks

The Chad and Tyrone nicknames originate from American films in which characters called Chad are normally the very attractive one and the black guys called Tyrone are too. That’s why in the manosphere we refer to attractive men by these nick names. Also we say that men who settle for women with children from another man is a beta male, as he’s having to bring up and pay for the offspring of another man, and usually you don’t have any say over the children and can’t discipline them as you are met with the response ‘you can’t say that you’re not my real dad’. Always having to ask the mothers permission before you can say anything to them. Also, most single mothers on dating sites are not looking for love, they are looking for help and hoping a beta male will come and do that for her. I know it sounds cynical but it’s the bitter truth in a lot of cases. There’s a YouTuber called Darius M and before he speaks on the video he shares a short video of a woman saying what she wants from men and it will honestly open a lot of your eyes about how a lot of modern young women operate, not all, but a lot

Jack not being nosey but if your grandma has her own house surely she has paid for it, so why doesn’t she leave it to you in her Will? Perhaps she should make a Will leaving it to you? And who would you be paying for it, if she has died? If it is a council house, and it is not hers, how can you buy it. Or would it be a better idea to look for a less expensive flat, now?

Smurfchops- yes it’s her own house. We’ve started talking about dating because I was saying it’s be easier to get a house if I had a girlfriend and then started talking about the difficulties of getting a girlfriend in today’s world
