Has anyone used Boxt to fit a new boiler, and, if so, would you recommend them? My ancient Worcester boiler is on its last legs and I reckon I'll have to bite the bullet and replace.

Their TrustPilot reviews look impressive:

(Although it's possible to fake good reviews, it's a lot harder to block poor ones. So, with only a small number of bad reviews, it's possible to put a certain amount of trust into what's shown there).

Boxt don't employ their own staff though. They simply farm work out to local firms who sign up with them. The process for an installer to sign up seems to involve little more than downloading an app: https://www.boxt.co.uk/signups . So there's obviously a bit of a risk that your installation might get farmed out to a cowboy before Boxt realise their mistake in allowing him to work for them.

Thanks, Chris. Yes have gone through the quote procedure on their website and it makes it clear that they sub-contract. Just wondering. Will probably go down the 'ask lots of neighbours' route.....
Rather than an all-in deal a friend bought a (new) boiler from ebay & arranged for a local gas fitter to install it - worked out a lot cheaper than British Gas etc. offers.
