I have always used washing tabs and put them in the drum under the clothes in my Hoover washing machine with no problems. I recently replaced the machine with a Bosch and, wherever I put the tabs, the minute the machine starts to fill it spits the tab on to the door seal. I have read the instructions and, although they tell you all about powder and liquid, there is no mention of tabs. Does this mean the machine is not compatible? Any advice please?

From the Bosch website: Pods are great for ease and convenience as they can simply be placed at the back of the drum and then the clothes can be added on top. https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/customer-service/get-support/washing-machines/how-much-detergent-should-i-use-in-my-washing-machine So you should have no problem with the pods/tabs. So you should have no problem with the pods/tabs. Have you changed the brand of the pod?

Thanks for that Barry. Actually it is a new box of pods which I haven’t tried before. Should that make a difference do you think?
i have a Bosch and use all different tabs with no problem as long as i put them at the back under washing x
If it still splashes all over the door seal you could try putting it inside a sock??

I have put them everywhere Mallyh. At the front at the back in the middle of the washing with no joy!!! I will try another type. Also thanks Bobbin but my washing machine is too big to put in a sock LOL
Kustard, I had a similar problem with Tesco own brand pods, I found them part dissolved in the door seal after every wash.

I always use the ones from Aldi Barry but this box is Surf which I got on offer from somewhere and they are funny little flat ones
I like the Aldi ones but have reverted to separate liquid detergents and conditioner. More control over dosage and I don’t use conditioner on towels
^We've never used tablets or pods...you can't dose with a more appropriate amount (it's either one, two - or, three).
Another disadvantage with tablets (and some powders) is that they don't always dissolve properly, leaving undissolved particles on clothes etc.
blimey, does anyone really use 3 pods in a wash?
also, afaik, they don't contain conditioner do they?
