Wifi In The Garage

My husband has a security camera which he would like to put in the garage. It is currently sitting on the kitchen window as it's the only place we can get a good enough WiFi signal. The signal does not reach the garage. Would an extender work?

However if there's a power socket in the garage (which, I assume, is going to be needed to power the camera anyway), and that socket is fed from the same consumer unit as the other sockets in your home, a powerline extender might offer your best chance of success. ^^^ Hang on a moment though. I might have been s bit too quick with my post there. That particular adapter only works with a wired connection on the end of it. You camera might not support that method of connection.
If wi-fi is needed, this is a better option (and equally well reviewed) but, alas, a lot dearer:
