Hi ABers .... Mr Chox accidentally dropped a small pan full of melted butter, lemon juice and parsley all over the front of his dark blue jeans ... of course they are pretty stained now and the melted butter is a bit stubborn to get out. Can anyone recommend something which would do the trick - or is it a lost cause and he should get himself a new pair of jeans .... Thanks in advance, Chox.

thanks for the baking powder suggestion - have just washed it with some "Shout" stuff and will see how that goes. If no luck will try the baking powder suggestion. Look forward to the ice and detergent explanation, thanks, cheers, Chox.
You must roux letting him loose in the kitchen.
Cut out the stained area. Cut out a few more holes, shred the edges round the holes and pour some bleach on randomly. Then he will have a pair of jeans that people will pay a small fortune for these days!! Sorry ;0)
LOL..^^^
You need to dissolve the grease and rinse it way. Two methods. First spray with a degreaser such as elbow grease all-purpose degreaser, leave for about 30 minutes then hand wash in very hot water, machine wash as normal. Second method, fill sink or bowl with very hot water to which you've added about 1/4 cup of washing up liquid, add the jeans and agitate for a few seconds then leave to soak for around 30 minutes, rinse in very hot water and machine wash as normal.

Meaghan72, thanks again for your suggestion, I've just spotted this product on Amazon, and will order some, and give it a try. Thanks again, cheers, Chox.
Hi I hope it works for you. I used the degreaser on my dads good jeans when he got engine oil on them and it worked.
Question Author
Meaghan72 - that's just what I wanted to hear. Mr Chox loves these jeans and doesn't really want to consign them to "garden-wear"! Cheers, Chox.
