About 30p an hour.

It's too early yet for central heating. I might use the fan heater to take the chill off the air in the bedroom.
Have a look at your electric bill to find out how much you pay per kw and add 5% for VAT
Its whatever your unit rate is per kwh. Sqads figure looks about right ... maybe a bit more with vat
Are you sure it is 1KW?
Why does one answer a simple question with a website?

No longer do we reason, chat, debate, we just paste a website.

In 1000 years time , if we are still on planet earth, we weill have heads and brains halt the size........like our idea of aliens.
It's more common to be 2 or 3kw plus though??
That link is from 2012 when electricity was much, much cheaper. Put a jumper on

Looking at the box it says 2kw. There are different settings and I assumed setting it at 1 would use 1kw an hour.
Fan heaters are a very inefficient way of heating a room. 3ft away from the fan the air goes cool and so you’re just blowing cool air around the room.
Indeed barry....good point.
The current maximum price permitted by Ofgem for 1 kWh in GB is 28p.

However the Ofgem price cap doesn't apply in NI, so the price where you are might be very different, Sandy. Looking at sample tariffs on the Power NI website though suggests that 28p is also a good guideline figure for you at the moment.

Re - Z-M's comment @16.43. Sandy isn't trying to "heat a room" - he wants to raise the temperature a few degrees and a fan heater is a perfectly good and efficient way to do this.
