Ebay- Would A Reply Be The Polite Response?

I have bought a lot of houseplants on eBay, and irs always been a positive experience...healthy plants etc. I always buy from sellers with high ratings.
I bought a plant recently that was posted on a Wednesday, due Friday or Saturday, arrived Monday...so a bit longer than normal.
When I opened it, it was packed in a very heavy duty plastic bag, and the soil was absolutely saturated...I didn't realise just how much though. I left the plant to breath and acclimatise. Next day still wet, and leaves were mushy, and soil was a bit smelly...not good. So I decided to repot in more suitable soil. Three days later and not much recovery. I emailed the seller, and described my experience. I also emphasised the fact that this probably was a one-off as I knew she had such positive reviews. I was polite and did not ask for a refund or any thing.
So far I've not had a response...should I expect one?

Pasta, you have to be clear to the seller what it is you want as in a replacement or a refund.

I simply wanted to let her know what had occurred as her packing method may have been wrong for that particular plant. As said I didn't ask for, nor did I want/expect a refund. Just an acknowledgement would have been fine.

Oh I see. I think sometimes it depends on the seller.
Personally, I think they should have apologised and asked you if you would like a replacement, but again, it depends on the seller.
You could always leave a review on the page.

just be polite, and tell them your experience, no seller like negative feedback,its in there interest to make you happy, just ask.

Yes you should expect one. Give it a couple of days. If no response, leave a suitable feedback. It doesn't have to be a negative, maybe a neutral with a comment like, "disappointed".

That's what I intend to do TheWinner. If they contact me I can at least give them credit for good communication...as it stands now, I can't.
