A fellow ABer told me about 'singing swedes' the other day and today I plan to cook my swedes in the microwave. I see it takes half an hour or so.

Would it be possible to cook it in advance, leave it whole and reheat it in the microwave an hour or so later?

mally, does a big swede cook in 10 minutes? The recipe I found online states 30 minutes, turning half way
You need to turn it over half way through.

I would cook it, scoop it into a bowl and then reheat later.

Ha ha, missed your last post!

I will be using to microwave's fan oven to cook the meat and want to microwave the swede after, so could I microwave the swede before I cook the meat and then reheat it in the microwave whilst the meat rests?

Crossed posts, Tilly, thanks
Put it in a bowl, Barry. Then you can keep an eye on the heat.

Okee dokeee, I usually pressure cook it but I'm willing to give it a go
Wot, 9 replies, and no jokes about ABBA ?
I've never done what you suggest in the OP, Barry. I've always served it as soon as its scooped, seasoned and with a pat of butter.
I'd be inclined to scoop it into a bowl, keep it covered then reheat when you want it.
Let us know how it gets on.

OG. Didn't take long for ABBA to appear on the last singing swede thread. :-)
