In these days of costs of electric I wonder if a clothes drier can be run with no heater. Just blowing room temperature air through clothes gently flopping around in the drum.
It would take much longer but quicker than hanging on an indoor clothes drier rack?

I bet it would take just as long whilst wearing out the bearings in your dryer
I wouldn’t.
Put washing machine on in the morning, hang on clothes airer as soon as it’s finished its cycle, leave overnight and washing will be dry next morning.
Buy another clothes airer if you have lots of laundry so it can be spread between the two.
Works for me.
I know somebody who puts the damp clothes on a couple of airers in the spare (unheated) bedroom. A pedestal fan blows air through the clothes and they dry quite quickly - bedroom windows open, btw.
No heat involved. The fan would be about 80watts only.
Similar to me Ginge, but I don’t use a fan. I put the airer or airers behind the door in the unused, unheated dining room where they can’t be seen.
yea we have a bosch dryer thats not used anymore, we just use airers
now in spare bedroom, when we had children living at home we used the dryer, funny they have there own dryers now, be able to put clothes on the outside line soon rain permitting.
