Mira 415 Shower Replacement
3 Answers
I am needing to budget for a new replacement for my MIRA 415 shower. Can anyone suggest a good one which is less than £400 and the pipes are the same distance. I would be very grateful

This has the advantage that replacing or changing a shower need not involve a retiling or a redecorating job where the shower size is different. But it ties you in to a particular shower manufacturer using their base-plate size.
Virtually all shower manufacturers have the installation instructions available on-line, if you check out Mira’s website you should be able for find the installation instructions for your current model and others they sell – you can then see which would fit you current base-plate design/size and check out replacement models and features that would make a suitable replacement.

A couple of things...
First, have you thought about refurbishing your current unit?
The 415 was one of the best. I've fitted several. There are plenty of spares still available online.
Also, I'd agree with Hymie. Mira's tech support is excellent. They could certainly point you towards their current replacement model.
The backplate business he mentions would be so much simpler.
With showers, as with most things, don't go 'cheap.'
