Got Open reach ONT in the hall cupboard. Received Vodaphone router, ethernet cable and ADSL socket.
How can I connect router in a cupboard and also connect old landline to modem, no VoIP adapter and Vodafone chat/call centres are absolutely useles. Just going round in circles.
Anyone got openreach FTTP and how do you connect it all up. Never knew something could be so difficult...

Simply plugging your new router into 'Port 1' would appear to be a good start:

You shouldn't need to use the ADSL socket and, unless you're not going to be using a wifi connection to your computer, you shouldn't need to use the ethernet cable either.
All copper-cabled phone lines are being phased out, so it's possible that Openreach might have disconnected your traditional phone line when they installed the FTTP connection.
