Hello everyone!
My gas oven isn't working and the clock has gone blank, but all the burners on the hob are working. Is there anything I can do myself, or is it time to scrap it. It is a pretty old cooker, but did still work OK, until this morning.
Thanks.

Have you checked the fuse?
When you say that the burners are working...are they being lit by a spark that is electrically generated?

Thanks for your replies.
I can't get to the fuse, as it's boxed off on the wall (no plug).
The burners are lighting from the igniter button.
Check the main distribution board for the house for a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse.

Then it should be driven from a FSU above the counter top or accessible. If someone has wired it directly into the electric connection for an electric oven then that is very dangerous and should be checked pronto. The electrics for a gas cooker a a few amps tops, the cooker connection is most likely 'fused' by a 16A MCB. It wont protect the circuits until too late.
