Should the state agent who arranged an open day-2 hours, send a representative from their company for those 2 hours. The agent has sent through the post,a set of brochures and a piece of paper for us to record names and phone numbers, should anybody turn up. The agent will follow these contacts in due course?

Not unless it was expressly agreed

Even if the agent hasn't scheduled viewings, the convention is for someone to attend in order to 'meet & greet', answer any questions, and take details.

Otherwise, you're doing their job for them.

Yes, you are paying them, why should you show people round?  That's why estate agents get a bad name.

I would expect an estate agent to be there.
