Newly laid lawn in UK( April ) Not keen on this stuff (Poa annua??) that grows from the day it was laid. I'm not very experienced regarding maintainence. I understand that it needs feeding 4 times a year? But I would also like rid of the poa annua.  A forum suggests using prodiamine herbicide. Is there a product I can buy that will feed the lawn AND get rid of the poa annual?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Way back when, a pal of mine in a council house had a letter about the poor state of his garden. His reply - "If you concrete it I'll swill it down."

Given lawn weedkillers can usually distinguish between grass and non-grass but have difficulty zeroing in on the genome beyond that, you are probably doomed to pulling it up when you find it, and keeping the lawn very regularly mowed as desired grass copes better than the unwanted coarse grass with that.
