Jammed Garage Door

I am unable to fully close my garage door. Upon closer inspection the wire on the left hand side becomes tight and the spindle at the top stops spinnning even though there is enough wire. I have lubricated it and that doesn't seem to be making a difference.

Any ideas on how to close it be be appreciated- thank you.

My wire broke but I was able to get replacement wheels and wires from Amazon cheaply.

Easy enough to rplace but that big spring across the top can be lethal! (Westland Door)

It now glides open at a touch. Not bad for a 40 year old door!

TIP - do not oil or grease as it collects dirt and jams. Use silicone lube instead.

I had a similar issue with an up and over garage door that resulted in one side being jammed half way down.

The only solution I could see was to carefully cut the wire while supporting the door in position (allowing it to be closed) and then call someone out to fix it.
