I have copd and a carcinoid in my right lung. Have been told an operation is the only treatment for the carcinoid but afterwards I will be more prone to chest infections and my breathing problems due to the COPD will be the same. Am in a quandary what to do. Keep myself busy during the week, still drive etc. So is it quality or quantity of life.

Quality of live, I'd rather feel good for six months than be ill and suffering for six years.
