Starmer Continues With "Grossly...

I got the first two questions right in the main quiz this week but then (just like my body shape over the last few years) everything went pear-shaped!
So that's just TWO out of seven for me:

In the junior quiz, some lucky guesses helped me to a score of FOUR out of five - although, annoyingly, I actually knew the answer to the one that I got wrong! (I simply clicked too quickly):

Your turn!

Evens this week...
My lovely new little friend Gobolino has turned into a teenage tearaway: out all night and asleep on the bed all day. The vet check says he's fine, he is going back next week to be chipped and neutered, so hoping it all goes well.
Hope you and your trio are keeping warm and dry.
Hi, Sam.
I continue to struggle by, thank you. I hope that you're well too!
Thanks for letting me beat you this week 😊
Hi, Captain2 and Sandy!
So which one of you copied off the other then? 😆
The 'flatulence' one shouldn't really refer to 'farting' anyway, Sandy, as most of the methane from cattle comes from their mouths, rather than from the other end of them!
It's impossible to feel really cold in the company of a cat, isn't it? The warmth of their personalities (felinalities???) is simply so great!
Hi, Patsy!
Thanks for keeping Sam company this week!
Good evening, Haras2!
It's good to read that Gobolino is proving himself to be a proper cat!
My lot are all fine, thank you. Moonbeam, who's always thought of himself as the poor little much-bullied cat, has suddenly started sticking up for himself and shoving his big brother, Chequers, out of the way to get to food. Chequers (around 9kg) and Tablo (around 4½kg) decided to have a minor fight this morning but the result was never in doubt anyway. Tablo was, as always, victorious!
We all hope that you and 'Lino will have a lovely week!
^^^ You and me both, Alba!
I'm trying to decide whether I'm now entering my second childhood or whether I never really left the first one! 😊
Hi, Campbellking!
Well done on being a perfect kid this week!
My lot seem to be permanently thinking about where their next piece of food is coming from - especially Chequers, who's sitting on my desk, next to my keyboard, and miaowing to see what it'll get him!
Hello there!
I'm not doing so badly this week. 3/7 and 4/5. Quite pleased. I even got a footblling one correct - I'd heard of Harry Kane so plumped for him.
How are kitties? Tyke couldn't believe that the weather was so bad here - on Wed. we got 2" of snow in 1 and a half hours - and when he was whizzed out for a 5 min. 'pooh walk' he responded by sulking hugely for over an hour, being tempted by gravy bones etc. to forgive us! It was seriously bad and we were snowed in. 10 miles south of us they had 1/2"! We are on a W/East valley and really cop it.
Now have emergency stocks infor quite a few days; back to my childhood, then the 1970s and then France in the 2010s.
Good evening, Jourdain2!
Well done on sneaking ahead of me this week!
We've not had any of the white stuff here in Suffolk but it's still been very cold. Storm Bert isn't helping either, with lots of events (such as Stowmarket Christmas Fayre on Sunday, which I was looking forward to) being cancelled this weekend.
I always try to keep some 'emergency stocks' in the house, whatever the time of year or the weather. (I've probably got more cans than my local Co-op has!). So I'm well set up, as long as the winds don't rip the roof off, of course!
Your reference to Tyke's reaction to the snow reminds me of the little Fox Terrier cross that I had as a kid. As soon as it was time for his walk, he'd be pulling at the lead to get out of the door. Then, one day, I opened the door after we'd had a heavy fall of snow, which the dog had never seen before. He was totally baffled by finding everything had turned white and even more confused when, upon tentatively putting a paw into the snow, he found out how cold it was! (It asn't long before he was bounding around in the stuff though!)
The Troublesome Trio have only occasionally seen snow but they never seem to be particularly troubled by it. (Now, as they approach 11 years of age, they much prefer to spend most of their time sleeping anyway).
We hope that you and Tyke will have a lovely WARM week and that your roof tiles, wheelie bins, etc will all stay in place over the next couple of days!
