Why don't you use a hot-air gun? Much more efficient and less messy, although you do need a little practice. I've done all my paintwork with one, but you do need to be careful with carpets and windows.

As above. A hot air gun is much better, and they are quite cheap to buy. You may also want to invest in an orbital sander to get a professional finish after using the hot air gun.
