Can't Access My Hard Drive On File Explorer

My Maxtor M3 portable hard drive is connected but I can't access it on File Explorer. Have checked for drivers but says I have the most up to date installed.
Can anyone help please.

Have you tried:

a different usb cable and usb port

rebooting your PC

checked that it is turned on?

Is it visible using disk management ?

barry, File Explorer picks it up on another, older PC, it works on the tv, same cables. Tried 3 different usb ports, rebooted PC, & updated drivers.

All the files I need are on the one PC that won't now pick it up. It used to. Am trying to copy all the files to another hard drive to copy from another PC but it's so slow going.
