I cant get my pir security light to work properly!

I have a PIR motion detector security light at the back of my house. This has been accidentally switched off, and now when it's switched on, only stays on, and will not go off, and come on again when it detects motion. How do I reset it to only be active when motion is detected?

Switch it completely off for a while then switch back on and leave it to settle down. Some PIR's will stay on if switched off and on twice quickly. The instructions will give more detail.

Ha ha .. mine will only stay on for a short period and will not stay on when I want it !! Any ideas anyone !

Answer to second question.........

There is a timer adjusting knob on the back of the lamp, adjust it to length of time wanted!

If you want it to stay on just switch on off on quickly.

Some of these devices have a "setup" which (for example) works by switching the power on and off and on, quickly which changes the operation to normal or always on or always off etc...
You will need to find the instructions for your unit and look to see if this one has this function built in and what the sequences are.
