Has anyone had any bad experiences of cavity wall insulation in recent years, or is it now generally deemed to be a jolly good idea all round and devoid of pitfalls? Via a company emplyed by the local council, my mother's been offered the whole house, a 1970's 3 bed semi, for 100. It's a dormer semi, will this have any effect on the efficiency? She's got loft already, but may top that up too. Would be good to hear your opinions and experiences on cavity wall insulation, good or bad! Thanks in advance.
