I have a French Polished floor, what is the best way to look after it?

Somebody pelase answer, as I'd love to know this aswell.
French Polish is Shellac based, and so not really suitable for floors, Best way to look after it is not to walk on it. Just wipe off dust as you would a coffee table. If it really IS a French Polished Floor and not High Gloss Yacht Varnish then it is best left to a Professional French Polisher. (which I am not). If you really want to 'have a go' wipe over with a soft cloth dampened with Methylated Spirits.
