Clematis

I had a new fence fitted today and, despite me asking him not to, the guy ripped out all my clematis, at soil level. Will they grow back? Is it worth me trying to replant what he has pulled out? I'm really upset as they were just starting to show signs of life. Yours gratefully

You just cant get the staff these days, oh dear sorry!

I think it has a good chance of growing back but may take a while to recover and may not have time to flower this year, a good watering followed by a feed after about a week should set it on the road to recovery. Best of luck..

A few years ago my hubby strimmed a clematis and honeysuckle by mistake. I was really cross but the following year they grew back like billy -o and looked fantastic.

look at it as the next thing to a good pruning, it's only March so its got time to recover
