T Shirt Collar

Hey to everyone,

Not really quite sure which section this post should be under, its a clothing query. I have a polo shirt, you know with the collars and buttons? Well, keeping up with the teenage trend .. i like to wear my top underneath a jumper, with the collar up. However the collar is very flimsy and wont stay up .. i think it needs starching when it is ironed? Is there any alternative i can use to help the collar to stiffen and stay up on my shirt?

Isnt this what starch does. I'm not being nasty but who wears collars up, where is this trend because where I live thats a no no. Its only for the big rugby meatheads that show off in the pubs.

Well .. it may be a no no in some places, but im no rugby meathead and i dont show off in pubs .. my polo shirt is paul smith and my jumper is ralph lauren .. so it looks alot classier than you expect. And i know that starch stiffens things .. hence the reason i asked why there was any other alternative.

I always just iron mine flat and hope for the best. Dont know about the starch though, sorry.

Lol sorry that didnt mean to sound like i was showing off about having a designer jumper :( and nothing is wrong with starch .. we just dont have any :P

Its difficult with polo shirts as they are quite floppy. what material is it??

Collars up all the way, not sure how to keep em up but i think it looks stylish
