Lawn
5 Answers
We put new turf down over a very small area last September and it was absolutely fine for quite a while. During the worst part of the winter we noticed it looking a bit worse than a lawn should look at that time of the year, sort of damp and lots of little worm mounds on it. We convinced ourselves it would be OK by spring but it looks dreadful. What happened? The house is for sale and the lawn is a definite minus point at the moment, what would be the cheapest "quick fix" ?

Add a light application of a high nitrogen content fertilizer (it's the first number in the series of three in any fertilizer). Then, be sure to water it extensively. At least once a day. It should come back for you, but right now it's trying to establish itself. It wouldn't hurt to seed it lightly with a good fescue or blue grass seed... Good luck!
